The Kansas CattleWomen Scholarship supports young women pursuing education and careers connected to agriculture and the beef industry. Each year, we award scholarships to students who demonstrate leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to the future of agriculture in Kansas.
Scholarship Details
Awards: Two scholarships of $500 each
Recipients: One high school senior and one college student
Application Deadline: April 1
Recognition: April 10 Kansas CattleWomen event in Manhattan, Kansas (attendance encouraged, not required)
About the Scholarship
Kansas CattleWomen exists to educate, advocate, and support women across the beef industry. This scholarship is one way we invest directly in future leaders who care about agriculture, understand its challenges, and are willing to advocate for it moving forward.
We are looking for applicants who are grounded, thoughtful, and motivated, not just students with strong grades, but individuals who understand the value of agriculture and want to make a meaningful impact through their education and career.
Eligibility
High School Scholarship
Applicants must:
Be a Kansas resident
Be a graduating high school senior
Have an interest in pursuing an agriculture-related degree or career
College Scholarship
Applicants must:
Be currently attending a Kansas college, university, community college, or technical school
Be pursuing an agriculture-related major or career path
Be enrolled at the time of application
Both scholarships are open to students pursuing a wide range of agriculture-related fields, including but not limited to animal science, ag business, communications, education, veterinary medicine, agronomy, and allied industries.

Before starting the application, please have the following ready:
A current resume
A transcript
Unofficial transcripts are accepted
Proof of enrollment or College Acceptance Letter
A reference letter submitted directly by your reference
Written responses completed within the application form
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Reference Letter Instructions
A reference letter is required for all applicants.
The letter must be emailed directly by your reference, not uploaded by the applicant.
References may include a teacher, advisor, employer, coach, or agriculture mentor.
Letters from family members will not be accepted.

Selection Process and Timeline

Scholarship Recognition: April 10 Kansas CattleWomen event in Manhattan, Kansas
Recipients are invited to attend the April event to be recognized, but attendance is not required to receive the scholarship.
Applications are reviewed based on leadership, involvement, written responses, and demonstrated commitment to agriculture.
